I too vote for NC. Asheville is welcoming and has replaced sedona as the vortex of the universe. Tom Robbins came to Sylva and 500 people showed up. We have moonshine, crunchy buds and beutifull women. You can't throw a crystal without hittin a homosexual massage therapist with a trust fund

I just wanted to thank you for visiting us "North" Americans. It was a great birthday present for me to get you to come to my hometown. Awesome. Just though you should know that making trips to these smaller venues is worth it. We love you in Canada. Please keep on writing - want to hear that Rivera story!

Dear Mr. Moore,

I met you in San Diego. Unfortunately, my snarky boyfriend thought it would be oh-so-hilarious to tell your "handler" that I wanted to have your babies. Which was true. In a purely admirational sense. I appreciate that you didn't kick me out immediately on grounds of fanaticism. But in retrospect, it seems a little extreme to eject a mute girl from the party, as I found myself mostly unable to speak during our brief meeting. I will say, however that I excelled with MENSA-like excellence at the smile/nod/giggle.

I didn't get a chance to say it at the time (due to the aforementioned lack of speech), but I was moving back to Michigan on Sunday, and I had planned on leaving Saturday morning from California until I saw your tour dates in San Diego. Thanks for a lovely parting gift. Your advice about rewriting and finishing my novel will undoubtably prove invaluable. If I can get past chapter three.

Thanks again, and keep the brilliant words coming.

Thank you again for coming to Portland. Wasn't the Bagdad Theater the coolest place ever for a CM event? And not just for the beer. You made my YEAR by recognizing me from previous signings in Portland. I might be your Portland stalker, but not in a scary, I want to hold you captive in my basement until you write a sequel to A Dirty Job sorta way. Altho I really want to read about how Rivera deals with his new career!

Chris,

Consider this one moore (sic) for Austin, Texas. I understand time constraints, and it seems you use good methods to determine how you make your tours. That makes this whole thing slightly less fulfilling, but I did manage to pick up a signed first edition (That I promptly damaged so no one would steal) from book people, so I will have to take that as some consolation. From this point on I vow to write you so much mail your poor location selecting algorithm has no choice but to spit out ATX.
